Today, I am pleased to announce that IntSights has been acquired by Rapid7. This marks the next chapter for IntSights, our investors, our customers, our partners, and our employees as we join forces with one of the best-known cybersecurity brands in the world. In 2015, I co-founded IntSights alongside Alon Arvatz and Gal Ben David. It all began as an idea. One born out of my experience in cybersecurity where I could see how critical threat intelligence was to defending information systems, and how difficult it was to consume.
At that time, threat intelligence, because of its complexity, was only leveraged by the biggest of the big enterprises with large budgets and massive security teams. Tremendous human and financial resources were needed because the technology did not exist to efficiently collect, analyze, and act on threats from across the clear, deep, and dark webs. We decided to build that technology.
Today, IntSights has over 200 employees, more than 350 customers and 100 partners across the globe. We set out on a mission to democratize threat intelligence so that every company could protect themselves from some of the most devastating and sophisticated threats against their businesses. IntSights effectively changed the market by delivering automated, tailored intelligence to security teams with a very low signal-to-noise ratio and with context as to what actions should be taken. As the only truly integrated platform on the market, IntSights brings the full spectrum of capabilities, including threat research, threat investigation, vulnerability prioritization, and third-party security risks, as well as 360-degree capabilities from threat identification to mitigation and remediation.
We felt a great culture fit between the teams from the first engagement with Rapid7. We share a similar vision to provide cybersecurity solutions to protect organizations of any type and size. I feel lucky to join a team as talented and passionate as the Rapid7 team and I know Rapid7 will be a great home for our employees, technology, and customers.
As a part of Rapid7, we will have the opportunity to natively integrate our solution into one of the most comprehensive cybersecurity platforms in the market and we look forward to introducing our solution to Rapid7’s nearly 9,000 customers. IntSights’ products will continue to be offered as standalone products in Rapid7’s portfolio and customers will get the same great experience with IntSights going forward. Further, our products will be enhanced to deliver even more value to our customers.
I would like to thank our incredible team for all of the hard work that they have put in to get us to this point. We have an amazing team culture and talent, and I am grateful to be on this journey with them. To our customers, who have been instrumental in working with us to build the best threat intelligence solution on the market, our partners who helped us build the company, and our investors who believed in us and our vision, I also say thank you.
We’re going to keep shaping our space with a strong innovation sense and the desire to provide the best solution to our customers. This is just the start of an exciting new chapter for IntSights!
